    Applying to MPH Programs

Application to a Masters in Public Health Program (MPH) is made through the Schools of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS). Students applying to MPH programs will need:

    1. a strong academic record
    2. a good standardized test score; usually the GRE, but a MCAT or LSAT will sometimes suffice
    3. a well written statement of purpose describing why you wish to pursue this field
    4. 2 or 3 letters of recommendation

Also note that in your application to an MPH program you will also be applying to a specific department, for example: Health Policy and Management, Epidemiology, Statistics, Human Genetics, Community Health or Environmental and Occupational Health. Note that all of these departments will participate in the core course offered for first-year graduate students.
